Job Listings

All job listings contained herein are published free of charge to qualifying parties. All listings must include a contact with phone number. Listings that do not clearly indicate a Closing Date or Continuous Recruitment are subject to removal after 1 year from posting. Continuous Recruitment listings are subject to annual audit and removal if they cannot be verified.

There are three qualification categories: 1) any party whose employees are currently or would otherwise qualify as a APCO member (e.g. Active or Member categories), 2) any party acting on behalf of a party as defined in #1 above (i.e. recruiting company), or 3) any party whose employees or company is a current Commercial APCO member. The Webmaster shall be the sole responsible party to determine whether an party qualifies and which category applies.

Job listings for those in category #1 and #2 may generally be of any text length. Multipage, colored, graphic intensive, flyers will be converted into PDF before posting (i.e. tri-fold flyers). At the discretion of the Webmaster, especially large listings may be reformatted to reduce font, change page breaks, etc. Parties are encouraged to submit large listings as PDFs. Job listings for those in category #3 are limited to one paragraph about 100-150 words in length. The paragraph may contain a hyperlink to a larger document hosted on the party's website, etc.

Surplus Equipment Listings

All "Surplus Equipment" listings contained herein are published free of charge to qualifying agencies.  A qualifying agency shall generally include any agency whose members would otherwise qualify as an APCO/CPRA member.  The Webmaster shall be the sole responsible party to determine whether an agency qualifies.  CPRA does not guarantee the condition, completeness, or availability of products advertised.  Interested parties should contact the agency offering the equipment to verify all information listed.   The presence or absence of any product for sale does not constitute or imply endorsement, recommendation, or favoring by CPRA.  Listings shall not include photos and must include a contact name, agency and phone number.

Email Privacy

Greeting Topology...
   1. All incoming callers hear Company Greeting, "Thank you for calling CPRA, please enter an extension number or press "0"...
   2. Callers selecting a "private" extension hear that extension's unique greeting
   3. Callers selecting "0" or making no selection hear the default Message Greeting, "...leave a message at the beep or press"#" for more options."

How to log into the system via web...
   1. Go to www.ringcentral.com
   2. Click Logon
   3. Enter phone number "2132919411"
   4. Enter password
   5. Click Logout when done.

How to listen to or view messages via web...
   1. Logon to www.ringcentral.com
   2. Default Overview screen appears.
   3. Find the latest 10 messages in the Recent Messages section
   4. Click Play or View icon for the desired voice or fax message
       [Important: Do not delete any messages. The CPRA Secretary shall delete messages per CPRA's records retention rules.]
   5. Click Logout when done.

How to listen to or view messages left in "private" mailboxes via web...
   1. Logon to www.ringcentral.com
   2. Click Extensions option from menu bar
   3. Select desired extension (mailbox)
   4. Click Play or View icon for the desired voice or fax message
       [Important: Persons assigned "private" mailboxes may delete their messages.]
   5. Click Logout when done.

How to listen to messages via telephone...
   1. Dial 1-213-291-9411.
   2. If necessary, dial an extension number when prompted.
   3. At any time during greeting, press star (*), enter your password, and then press pound (#).
   4. Press (1) to start listening to messages.
   5. During or after listening to messages, you may selected one of the menu options.

   6. Hang up when finished.

How to save a voice or fax message via web...
   1. Logon to www.ringcentral.com
   2. Click Messages option from menu bar
   3. Click Save icon for the desired message
   4. Select File Download preference [Voice messages save as WAV file.  Fax messages save as PDF file]

   5. Click Logout when done.

How to send a received message to someone else via web...
   1. Logon to www.ringcentral.com
   2. Save a voice or fax message to your PC
   3. Send the message file via a email using your PC's email account
   4. Click Logout when done.
